The Dash—the tiny line that separates our birth date from our passing date on our Headstones.

 

     The Dash is a powerful symbol of the life we live, the moments we cherish and the impact we have on those around us. Symbolically, the dash carries significant meaning, as it encapsulates all the experiences, relationships, accomplishments and memories of that person's life. It serves as a reminder that life is not just measured by the years we live but by the moments and impact we have on others during that time. In short, the dash serves as a poignant representation of a person's legacy and the essence of their existence.

     In 2023, my life was forever changed when my beloved husband passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. As I navigated the overwhelming waves of grief, I found myself reflecting on the concept of time and the legacy we leave behind.

​

     Through our marriage, I learned that life is not defined merely by milestones or achievements but by the connections we forge, the love we give and the experiences we embrace. My Husband lived each day with passion, compassion, and a zest for life that was infectious. He taught me the importance of truly living in the moment and celebrating every opportunity, no matter how small.

     This realization led me to create Your Dash Life Apparel—an expression of our shared belief that life is meant to be lived fully and authentically.
